1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
To be a modern woman is to be revolutionary. She is constantly pushing barriers and exceeding expectations. She never settles for less. While staying humble she encourages others around her. Her main goal is to instill confidence into everyone she meets. She is happy with the person she currently is but will always be working towards bettering herself. Her independence showcases her strength. She aims to rule the world.
2. What is the strangest thing in your fridge?
A girl becomes a woman when there is a noticeable change in maturity. Maturity means being aware and considerate of others and not being self-absorbed and self-centered. Keeping an open mind, loving yourself, and taking responsibility are all crucial factors in becoming a woman. She is open minded, has the ability to listen, and understands that her opinion is not always required. There is no date and time that this event takes place.
3.What’s something you only do when you’re bored?
Disappointment is inevitable, but what matters is how you handle it! For me, I remember that I am constantly being looked-up to, whether it is by young girls I teach at dance or my co-workers at American Eagle. I am a role model in both places. What do my actions say to those around me? I accept the disappointment and learn from it. I come back stronger and work harder!
4.What is a purchase you made that you immediately regretted?
I know it sounds cliché but being crowned at my State pageant! This was my first win ever. When my name was called an overwhelming sense of calmness and accomplishment waved over me. My endless hours of preparation finally paid off. But it isn't the sparkly crown and sash that I am after. It is the opportunity to promote what I am passionate about - and that is instilling confidence in everyone I encounter.
5.What kind of Barbie would you be?
Taking a step back and refocusing on the big picture. I reflect on what I have done and evaluate what I aim to accomplish. Being a mentoring partner, dance teacher, American Eagle stylist, and a 4.0 GPA student can become overwhelming. When I feel stressed out or overwhelmed, I pray. Taking a couple of minutes to clear my mind and recollect my thoughts allows me to continue my path to personal growth.
